Privacy Policy

CaviarDrip is operated by Apogee Web in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and how to get it changed or deleted. Privacy questions go to seb [at] apogeeweb [dot] io, which is also the contact for privacy requests under Quebec Law 25.

What we collect

When you back the campaign: your name, email address, and shipping address, plus the display name you choose for the OG Founders Club and the amount of your order. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's payment form. We never receive or store your full card number.

When you join the waitlist: your email address only.

When you browse: if and only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 records anonymous page views, approximate region, and device type. Decline and no analytics script loads at all.

Why we use it

To ship your packet, credit you in the Founders Club, answer support emails, and, if you opted in, send campaign updates. Analytics is used only to count visits in aggregate. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision making or profiling.

Cookies and tracking

Essential storage keeps your checkout step and your cookie choice. It is required for the site to work. Non-essential analytics cookies are off by default and only run after you press Accept in the cookie banner. You can change your mind any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.

Email consent

Marketing email is opt-in only. The subscribe checkbox is never pre-checked, we record when and how you consented, and every message has a working unsubscribe link. This is how we comply with Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) and Quebec Law 25.

Who else processes your data

Stripe (payments, order and shipping details), Supabase (our database host, where backer and waitlist records are stored), Google Analytics 4 (site analytics, only with consent), and our hosting provider (serving the site and its logs). Some of these providers process data outside Quebec, including in the United States, under their own contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it

Order and shipping records are kept for 7 years to meet tax and bookkeeping obligations. Waitlist and marketing emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Founders Club display names stay published until you ask us to remove yours. Analytics data expires on Google's standard 14 month retention.

Your rights

Under Quebec Law 25 and Canadian federal privacy law you can ask us to show you the personal information we hold, correct it, delete it, stop using it, de-index a public mention of you, or withdraw a consent you gave earlier. Email seb [at] apogeeweb [dot] io and we respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our answer you can contact the Commission d'acces a l'information du Quebec.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with access limited to the operator of this site. If a breach creates a risk of serious injury we notify affected people and the regulator as the law requires.

Children

CaviarDrip is not directed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page.
